Rome, June 15 (LaPresse) – The first ordinance of the extraordinary commissioner for works related to UEFA Euro 2032 has been issued, accelerating the evaluation procedure for the AS Roma stadium project in the Pietralata area. The project, declared of national strategic interest, aims to approve the Technical-Economic Feasibility Project and the related intervention plan through coordination of existing regulations and a reduction in administrative timelines. The ordinance introduces a significant simplification of the authorization process, also including the Environmental Impact Assessment and the decision-making Conference of Services. The new procedure, effective immediately, sets the maximum duration for the issuance of the single authorization at 90 days overall, compared to the ordinary timelines of more than six months provided for by current legislation. The process is structured in phases including verification of documentation, any additional submissions, public observations and the applicant’s responses. The procedure concludes with the final session of the Conference of Services, which concentrates the final decisions within reduced timeframes.
