Milan, 16 June (LaPresse) – The evergreen Serena and Venus Williams. The two American champions are set to team up once again in the doubles tournament at Wimbledon. The All England Club has announced on its social media channels that it has awarded a wild card to the Williams sisters for the tournament, which begins in less than two weeks. The decision comes following the recent return to competition of Serena, 44, after almost four years away from professional tennis. Venus has continued to play sporadically and will turn 46 on Wednesday. The Williams sisters have won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together, six of which were at Wimbledon. Their last Wimbledon title dates back ten years, whilst their first was over twenty-five years ago.
