The latest case is Leo Messi, who after scoring a hat-trick for Argentina against Algeria at the World Cup, admitted he has been inspired by a tennis legend to keep performing at the highest level despite being 39 years old. “I love playing football, it’s been my passion since I was a child, and when I feel good, I give my best,” said La Pulga. “We are watching Rafa Nadal’s series and we are very similar, I identify a lot with him. I always want to give my best and feel good, that’s how I enjoy it,” he added, referring to the Netflix series about Nadal’s career released a few weeks ago.
