Milan, 17 June (LaPresse) – Following his withdrawal from Roland Garros, Lorenzo Musetti has been forced to miss Wimbledon as well, the third Grand Slam event of the season, due to take place on the grass courts of London. The Tuscan tennis player announced this himself in a post on his Instagram profile. “I’d like to update you on my recovery from the injury I sustained in Rome: my rehabilitation is going very well and the medical results are encouraging. Unfortunately, as I haven’t yet started a full fitness programme, and following careful consideration, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that I won’t be able to compete at Wimbledon this year. It’s not an easy decision, but it’s the right one. My priority is to return to the court at 100 per cent. Thank you for your constant support — see you soon,” wrote Musetti, who reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon in 2024.
