Rome, 18 June (LaPresse) – Giovanni Malagò will be able to stand for the presidency of the FIGC against Giancarlo Abete. This is the conclusion reached by ANAC in the opinion requested by the Minister for Sport, Andrea Abodi, from the Anti-Corruption Authority regarding the alleged ineligibility of the former president of CONI and the Milano Cortina Foundation under the rules relating to ‘pantouflage’ in senior positions within the sporting system. ANAC’s decision “confirms exactly what I have maintained from the outset, as have all those I approached for their opinion, without exception. I have nothing further to add,” Giovanni Malagò told LaPresse.
