Milan, 21 June (LaPresse) – Following a surprising goalless draw in their opening match against Cape Verde, Spain bounced back in style, thrashing Saudi Arabia 4-0 to provisionally top Group H of the 2026 World Cup, pending the result of the match between Uruguay and the African side. It was a one-sided affair in Atlanta, with the Spaniards breaking the deadlock through Lamine Yamal after 10 minutes before running riot with a brace from Oyarzabal in the 21st and 24th minutes. The fourth goal came via an own goal by Tambakti in the 49th minute, who deflected a shot from Cucurella into the net. Spain top the group with 4 points, whilst the Saudis remain on 1.
