Turin, 27 June (LaPresse) – Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina has won his first career title on a surface on which he had never previously won one. On the grass courts of Mallorca, the world No. 23 defeated American Ethan Quinn in two sets, 7-6(4) 6-3, breaking a spell that began in 2022 and continued into 2025, during which the Spaniard lost no fewer than four ATP finals. “It’s a fantastic feeling to win my first title after losing five finals,” said Davidovich Fokina. “Today was a really tough battle; he played exceptionally well. In the tie-break, I pushed myself to the limit. In the end, I knew this title had to be mine: in Spain, in front of my home crowd, the first of my career. It had to be mine and I really gave it my all.”
