Turin, 2 July (LaPresse) – “It’s certainly not the level of performance I’m looking for, and that’s why I’m working incredibly hard. I arrived very early this morning and over the last few days I’ve pretty much just been looking at data. I’ve got a bit of a headache, but I’m pleased with the work done, and whenever I’ve had a tougher spell on the track, it’s usually been sorted out through hard work. There are no secrets, so that’s what I’m trying to do.” So said Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc ahead of the British Grand Prix, scheduled for this weekend at Silverstone. “Satisfied? No, but I don’t think we should generalise the situation down to the new regulations alone, because I wasn’t struggling at the start of the year,” continued the Monegasque driver. “However, there hasn’t been the calm needed to build the season properly so far, because we’ve made quite significant changes to the car and I need to adapt to that quickly.”
