Jonas Vingegaard was in fact the fastest on the roads of the Catalan city, taking the first yellow jersey. Behind him was Filippo Ganna, representing Ineos Netcompany, second, seven seconds behind the Dane. UAE Team Emirates is chasing: Tadej Pogacar crossed the finish line third, eleven seconds behind the winner. Tomorrow the second stage is scheduled, again on Spanish soil, starting from Tarragona and finishing in Barcelona, on the Montjuic climb.
