The Slovenian took no risks, allowing the group of sprinters to break away, crossing the finish line 8’45” behind stage winner Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin Premier-Tech), who is now just 7 points behind the Dane Mads Pedersen, reigniting the battle for the green jersey. Tomorrow’s programme features the 18th stage, the 185.2 km Voiron–Orcières–Merlette.
