Filippo Pelati has repeated his success, winning the silver medal in the men’s synchronised swimming solo free routine at the European Championships in Paris. The 19-year-old from Ferrara performed ‘Il diavolo’ once again – the same routine with which he had won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Singapore. The judges awarded the Italian swimmer 252.8713 points, securing him second place behind Britain’s Ranjuo Tomblin, who took gold with 258.9188 points, and ahead of Spain’s Jordi Caceres Iglesias, who claimed bronze with 229.2599 points.
