Football: Milan v Inter friendly derby ends 1-1: Nkunku equalises after Dimarco’s opener

Turin, 5 August (LaPresse) – The Milan-Inter derby ended 1-1 in the pre-season friendly played in Perth, Australia. Both goals came in the second half: the Nerazzurri broke the deadlock in the 7th minute when Dimarco latched onto Barella’s pass in the six-yard box, whilst the Rossoneri equalised in the 39th minute from a penalty converted by Nkunku following a foul by Carlos Augusto. Before the match, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of Franco Baresi, whilst the number six shirt worn by the defender during his time at Milan was placed in the centre of the pitch. Baresi was also commemorated in the 6th minute of the first half with a pause in play followed by a round of applause from the crowd.
