The US Masters 1000 tournament, scheduled for 13–23 August, announced this in a post on X. “We wish the 2024 champion all the best; we look forward to seeing you again next year,” the organisers added. Having missed the Montreal Masters 1000, the world number one will therefore also not be taking part in the American tournament, which serves as a warm-up for the US Open in New York, the season’s final Grand Slam. The news of Sinner’s withdrawal comes as no surprise: last Tuesday, the South Tyrolean tennis player was spotted at the Physioclinic in Milan, whilst in recent days he has visited J Medical in Turin – his regular clinic – on several occasions.
