Munich (Germany), 18 Aug. (LaPresse/AP) – Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has said he has a neurological issue but is feeling well despite collapsing on Tuesday during a friendly match in Heidenheim, three days after a similar incident against Leipzig. The 23-year-old Germany international collapsed to the ground shortly after coming on as a substitute in the second half. He received medical attention and was helped off the pitch. Musiala had already collapsed on Saturday during a friendly against Leipzig. The German news agency DPA reported that he left the pitch unaided, but still appeared dazed. Bayern, in its match report for Tuesday’s game, simply stated regarding the incident: “There was a setback when Jamal Musiala was forced to leave the pitch after taking a knock just a few minutes after coming on.” After the match, Musiala posted a message on his Instagram account, explaining that he had suffered from “temporary absence seizures” due to a neurological condition. Musiala said he was optimistic and was receiving excellent medical care.
