Milan, 19 Aug. (LaPresse) – Sara Errani and Leylah Fernandez’s run at the Cincinnati Open has come to an end in the round of 16. The Italian and the Canadian were defeated 7-6(4), 6-1 by Taiwan’s Hao-Ching Chan and Australia’s Maya Joint, ranked 46th and 47th respectively in the doubles rankings, who, in their opening match, knocked out Belgium’s Elise Mertens and Russia’s Diana Shnaider – the eighth seeds – in a match tie-break.
