(LaPresse) – The talented midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has been left out of Lille’s squad for their opening league match against Angers, amid rumours of an imminent multi-million transfer to Premier League giants Manchester City. The website of the sports daily L’Equipe and radio station RMC have reported that 18-year-old Bouaddi is set to join City for €100 million on a five-year contract. Bouaddi impressed at the World Cup with Morocco. City are on the lookout for a long-term replacement for former Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, who recently moved to Barcelona after helping Spain win the World Cup. Neither City nor Lille have yet commented.
