The Heat were keen to add Thompson to their squad, particularly following the signing of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Thompson, known for his three-point shooting ability, had been a free agent since Sunday. The 36-year-old brings a winning pedigree with him, having formed part of the Golden State Warriors’ ‘Splash Brothers’ duo alongside Stephen Curry.
