F1, Gasly: “Monza is special for me, I’ve been chasing pole for nine years”

Monza, Sept. 5 (LaPresse) – “It was fantastic, it was an incredible qualifying session. From the very first lap in Q1 I felt great in the car. I am extremely happy, I had been chasing the opportunity to take pole for nine years. I won my first race at Monza and here I have taken my first pole. It is special for me.” Alpine driver Pierre Gasly said this after taking pole position at the Italian Grand Prix. “Thanks to my team, the car is fantastic today – the French driver added, speaking in Italian – I am very happy, I have an incredible feeling here. We’ll see how the race goes tomorrow, I feel good in the car, we will give it our best.”
