Turin, 6 Sept. (LaPresse) – Wout Van Aert claimed his second victory in this year’s Vuelta a España, winning the 15th stage, a hilly 110 km route from Palma del Río to Córdoba. The Visma-Lease a Bike star beat Alessandro Romele (XDS Astana Team) and Thibau Nys (Lidl-Trek) in a tight sprint finish. Alessandro Covi (Team Jayco Alula) also finished in the top ten, in sixth place. There were no changes to the general classification: Enric Mas (Movistar Team) remains in the lead with a 2’06” advantage over Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) and 2’10” over Primož Roglič (Red Bull Bora hansgrohe). Tomorrow is the second rest day: the Vuelta will resume on Tuesday with a flat 181 km stage from Cortegana to La Rábida, via Palos de la Frontera.
