(LaPresse) – Frosinone secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Venezia in the clash between the two newly promoted sides in Serie A, a fixture counting towards the third matchday of the league season. Following his brace against Fiorentina, Under-21 international striker Raimondo scored another two goals, both in the first half, in the 21st and 39th minutes. In the second half, the Venetians staged a fine comeback, pulling one back with a curling shot from Yeboah in the 21st minute and levelling the score at 2-2 following a lightning-fast counter-attack, with Sagrado sliding in to tap home from close range in the 29th minute following a low cross from Hainaut. Oyono hit the post shortly afterwards, but Frosinone still managed to find the net again through Kvernadze, who made no mistake when one-on-one with Stankovic. Alvini’s side thus secured their second consecutive victory and moved up to 6 points in the table, whilst Stroppa’s side remain bottom, stuck on zero.
