Julio Velasco’s Italy lost the final in Istanbul in a tie-break against the team led by head coach Daniele Santarelli, missing out on a third consecutive title following their victories at the 2024 Paris Olympics and last year’s World Championships. The set scores were as follows: 25–16, 22–25, 25–12, 21–25, 10–15. Earlier in the afternoon, Serbia secured the bronze medal by beating Poland in the third-place play-off.
