(LaPresse) – American Christian Harrison and his British partner Neal Skupski have claimed their second Grand Slam title of the year in the men’s doubles, beating Germans Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 6-4, 7-6(6) in the US Open final. Harrison and Skupski were playing just their second tournament together when they won the Australian Open in January. They are only the third men’s pair to have not lost a single set at the US Open since the start of the Open era in 1968. Harrison triumphed in a Grand Slam in front of a home crowd after undergoing eight operations between 2009 and 2018, which had forced him to give up singles to focus on doubles.
