Rome, 20 Sept. (LaPresse) – Pedro Acosta has broken the spell and claimed his first-ever MotoGP victory in a ‘full-distance’ race in Austria. The Spanish KTM rider, fresh from two consecutive podium finishes, finished ahead of the Aprilia riders Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi on his home circuit at Spielberg. Japan’s Ai Ogura finished fourth on the Ducati Trackhouse, ahead of the factory Ducati ridden by Spaniard Marc Márquez. Martin extends his lead in the overall standings over the reigning world champion, moving 12 points clear of Márquez, with 306 points to 294. Bezzecchi follows on 264 points. This is KTM’s first win since 2022.
