Turin, 24 Sept. (LaPresse) – Mercedes once again topped the timesheets in the second free practice session of the Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix. George Russell, who was already leading this morning, confirmed his position as the fastest on the track in Baku with a time of 1’43″347, but behind him came his team-mate Kimi Antonelli, more than half a second (+0.552) off the pace following the hydraulic problems that hampered him in the first session. Next comes Max Verstappen’s Red Bull, third, eight tenths of a second (+0.827) behind, ahead of the two Ferraris driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, fourth and fifth respectively, more than a second behind the Briton. The third free practice session is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10.30, whilst qualifying is set for 14.00.
