Milan, 25 Sept. (LaPresse) – “I am indeed improving, but at the moment I’m also quite run down.” Sofia Goggia breaks her silence following her early return from Argentina, where she had been training ahead of the new World Cup season, due to health issues that were initially unidentified. “Ushuaia 2026: a short, intense and far from easy trip! I’m very sorry to have been forced to return early and to have missed part of my training, although I’m very pleased with how the first week on skis went. I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the doctors at the San Donato Group and all the specialists for the invaluable support they’ve given me since I returned. Now that the truth has come to light and we’ve pinpointed the problem (I had two viral infections that caused ‘unusual’ symptoms), we can move forward to resolving it, but to do so we’ll need time and lots and lots of patience… much as always,” wrote the star athlete from Bergamo. “See you soon… nec recisa recedit (even when broken [or wounded], it does not retreat)”, she concluded, quoting the official motto of the Guardia di Finanza.
