Milan, 28 Sept. (LaPresse) – A grave affront to the memory of Franco Baresi, the recently deceased Milan legend. A mural depicting him at Casa Milan has been vandalised with spray paint in the last few hours. This was reported by PD city councillor Alessandro Giungi, who posted a photo of the damaged artwork on his social media profiles. “Vandalising a mural commemorating Franco Baresi is such a cowardly and despicable act that it fills me with deep sorrow for the perpetrator of such a disgrace,” Giungi wrote on Facebook. Among the comments was one from the artist himself, who said he was sorry “not for what I created, but for the person it represented and for all those who were moved by seeing it”.
