Rome, Oct. 1 (LaPresse) – “We are second in the Constructors’ Championship, a huge step forward compared with last year, and this despite a power deficit that averages around four tenths per Grand Prix. Sometimes the gap reaches six tenths, and yet we have delivered some really strong performances. This shows the excellent work done by the people at the factory.” Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton said this on the eve of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend. “I think all this negativity ends up diminishing these results. Of course, we are not yet where we would like to be, but you don’t go directly from last year’s experience to first place. It’s a gradual process: this year we have laid solid foundations that we need to continue building on. We are not perfect yet, but I truly believe we can get there,” he added.
