Milan, 2 Oct. (LaPresse) – “When the call came from Juve, it was the first time in my life that I was enjoying time with my family and had time to myself; I was in Brazil watching the Davis Cup against Switzerland, but it didn’t take me long to make up my mind.” So said Norberto Neto, Juventus’ new second-choice goalkeeper, speaking to Sky about his return to the Bianconeri. Neto finds a Juventus side that is no longer as successful as the one he left in 2017. “That’s the nature of football. The team and the players are strong; we can achieve the results Juventus are used to, even though everyone wants to win – we can achieve great things here,” he added. “For a few years now, I’ve felt I wanted to return to Italy; I’m very happy because I feel good and I’m ready. I’d never worked with Spalletti before, but the impression so far has been very positive,” concluded Neto.
