Milan, Oct. 7 (LaPresse) – Former Manchester City and Spain midfielder David Silva has surprisingly returned to action after three years of retirement to join Supreme Sha Tin, a team in the Hong Kong Premier League. Silva ended his career in the summer of 2023 following a serious knee injury sustained during preseason training with Real Sociedad in Spain. “I can’t wait to go to Hong Kong to enjoy the culture, the people and the cuisine of Sha Tin, as well as the local football,” the player said. Silva made 125 appearances for Spain and was part of the squad that won the 2010 World Cup. He joined Manchester City in 2010 and spent 10 seasons there, winning 11 major trophies.
