However, he is under scrutiny as part of an investigation, and the starting grid could therefore be subject to changes. George Russell, who finished second behind him, and Charles Leclerc, third and the highest-placed Ferrari driver, are hopeful. Hamilton was sixth, just ahead of the championship leader Kimi Antonelli.
