Rome, 11 Oct. (LaPresse) – Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori were hoping for a rematch against Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic, but their run came to a bitter end in the first round of the Shanghai Masters 1000. The American and the Croatian, who had also emerged victorious in their most recent head-to-head encounter in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 in Tokyo, sealed the match with a final score of 67(2) 76(2) 10-7 in the match tie-break. Their dominant serving display from a few days ago in Japan was, right from the start, nothing more than a distant memory.
