Turin, 18 Oct. (LaPresse) – Udinese slump, Lecce celebrate. The Apulians dominated the lunchtime match at the Bluenergy Stadium on the seventh matchday of Serie A with a convincing 3-0 victory that condemned the Friulians to their fifth consecutive defeat – a result that further calls into question Kosta Runjaic’s already shaky position as manager. Di Francesco’s side, who move up to 9 points in the table with this win, sealed the victory in the first half with goals from Gaspar in the 11th minute and Ndri in the 33rd; in the second half, Siebert sealed the deal in the 41st minute on the counter-attack with an elegant outside-of-the-foot finish. Udinese had a goal by Piotrowski ruled out for offside when the score was 2–0 in the 14th minute of the second half; it would have brought the game back into contention. The Bianconeri thus remain on 4 points, in the relegation zone.
