Milan, 25 Oct. (LaPresse) – Andrea ‘Kimi’ Antonelli has secured pole position for the Formula One United States Grand Prix. The 20-year-old Italian Mercedes driver finished ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who arrived at the Circuit of the Americas (Austin, Texas) on the back of two consecutive victories from pole position. Antonelli could seal the title race as early as today, as he aims for his ninth win of the season. Should he succeed, the driver from Bologna will be crowned F1 champion provided his Mercedes team-mate George Russell finishes no higher than ninth and Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari finishes outside the top four.
