Rome, 25 Oct. (LaPresse) – “We know how strong Inter are, but we put in a brilliant performance, just like against Como. We’ve improved a lot; we could have sealed it and made it 2–0. Now we need to be objective and analyse what we’ve done; I feel sorry for the lads – they deserved a win.” So said Paolo Vanoli, Fiorentina’s manager, speaking to DAZN after the 2–1 defeat to Inter, which came following a comeback. “For me, the glass is half full,” he continued. “I can’t compare this team to last year’s. These lads are coming together as a team; we proved that in Como too. We’re trying to find the right formula. The league table is holding us back. We need to keep going like this. Today we came up against a strong side and realised we could have done well.”
