Tokyo (Japan), Nov. 1 (LaPresse) – In exactly one hour of play, Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini claimed the title at the Toray Pan Pacific Open, the WTA 500 tournament that concluded on the hard courts of the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan. In the final – the first ever contested by an all-Italian pair at the Japanese tournament – the Italian duo (ranked No. 15 and No. 30 respectively in doubles), fresh from qualifying for the WTA Finals, defeated Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and Brazilian Luisa Stefani (ranked No. 4 and No. 3), the top-ranked pair in the discipline, 6-2, 6-2, ending their 16-match winning streak. Errani and Paolini have thus reached double figures in the number of titles won together (10), returning to victory more than a year after their triumph in Beijing in 2025.
