Turin, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – “Yesterday I was hoping for Antonelli to be crowned champion and Hamilton to win the Grand Prix, which – had it not been for the initial problems – could well have happened. I believe that, unfortunately, Ferrari missed a good opportunity yesterday to win the race, with all due respect to an extraordinary Verstappen.” So said Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, former president of Ferrari, speaking on ‘La politica nel Pallone’ on Gr Parlamento, the day after Kimi Antonelli’s triumph in the Formula 1 World Championship, regarding the clash during the first lap of the Mexican Grand Prix between Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who got in each other’s way. “What I saw at Monza on the first lap, and again yesterday on the first lap between the two Ferrari drivers, gives us food for thought,” he added.
