Rome, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – As of today, Monday 2 November, Jannik Sinner officially relinquishes the top spot in the ATP rankings to Germany’s Alexander Zverev after 95 weeks. The South Tyrolean is the tenth player in history to have spent the longest time at the top. With 95 weeks (65 from 10 June 2024 to 7 September 2025, 1 from 3 to 9 November last year, and the 29 that have just ended), he has overtaken Carlos Alcaraz (66) and surpassed Stefan Edberg (72) and Lleyton Hewitt (80). He is now six weeks behind Agassi, who is ninth in the all-time rankings with 101 weeks. The ATP introduced the computerised ranking system in 1973. Since then, around 49,000 players have competed to earn points in the ATP rankings. In over half a century, only 30 of them have reached the number one spot.
