Milan, Nov. 2 (LaPresse) – Flavio Cobolli announced in an Instagram story on his profile that he had decided not to take part in the indoor Paris Masters 1000. “I really hoped I would make it,” the 24-year-old from Rome wrote. “Today, after media day, I tried working out in the gym, but I’m still feeling some discomfort and I don’t want to take any risks. That’s why I’ve decided not to play here in Paris. This city has given me the two most important weeks of my career, and coming back to play here would have meant a lot. Now my focus is on recovery. Thank you for always being there.” The Italian tennis player, who was forced to retire due to a muscle strain last week during his match against Matteo Berrettini in Vienna, is currently fifth in the Race standings for qualification for the ATP Finals in Turin.
