Kenya, Italians involved in a road accident: two dead

Turin, 3rd Mar. (LaPresse) – A road accident occurred today in Kenya, near the town of Diani. A small bus carrying 6 Italians was involved in the accident, the circumstances of which are being investigated by the local authorities. The case is being followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the Italian Embassy in Nairobi and the Honorary Consulate in Mombasa. This was reported by the Farnesina. One Italian national died instantly, a second Italian passenger died after being admitted to hospital. The Italians were organised by an Italian tour operator who instructed its representatives in Kenya to provide assistance to the 4 injured people admitted to two different hospitals. The consul in Mombasa, the consular agent in Diani and the embassy staff in Nairobi have already arrived or are on their way to the scene of the accident and to the hospitals where the injured are being treated. The Italian Embassy has contacted the local authorities to clarify the dynamics of the accident.
