Milan, Mar. 7 (LaPresse) – For the first time, French Mirage 2000 fighter jets have been used by the Ukrainian army to repel a massive Russian attack. This was made known by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a Telegram message. ‘It is worth noting that French fighter jets, which arrived in Ukraine only a month ago, took part in the response to an enemy air attack for the first time,’ the message read. Overnight, the Russian military launched 67 missiles of various types (Kh-101/Kh-55cm cruise missiles, Caliber, ballistic, S-300 anti-aircraft, Kh-59/69 guided aviation) and 194 drones against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Defence Forces destroyed 100 drones and 34 missiles. In addition, up to ten Russian missiles (not included in the statistics of those shot down) failed to reach their targets.
