Beirut (Lebanon), Mar. 7 (LaPresse/AP) – The number of victims in the clashes between the security forces of the Ministry of Defense and armed men loyal to the deposed Syrian president Bashar Assad has risen to 147. According to the state news agency Sana, which cites a security official, after the attacks by Assad loyalists a large number of people headed towards the coastal areas, “leading to individual violations that we are trying to stop”. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that armed men had stormed three villages near the Syrian coast, Sheer, Mukhtariyeh and Haffah.
