Rome, Mar 8 (LaPresse) – Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that France has told "many lies" regarding the conflict in Ukraine.
"There have been many lies from France. We remember the statement by former French President François Hollande when he admitted that, in reality, no one took the Minsk Agreements seriously," Peskov said, as reported by Ria Novosti.
"We also recall that in 2014, among other European officials, the French Foreign Minister signed a document guaranteeing the then-legitimate Ukrainian President Yanukovych’s political future, and yet a coup d'état followed," he added.
"France, like other countries, did not uphold its guarantees. It was a lie, a real lie. And Mr. Macron has not mentioned anything about it," Peskov concluded.
