Greenland: Center-Right Opposition Wins Elections

Milan, March 12 (LaPresse) – The center-right opposition party, Demokraatit, has won yesterday’s legislative elections in Greenland. According to local media reports, the result became clear around 1 a.m. local time (3 a.m. in Italy).

The Democrats secured victory with approximately 30.5% of the votes. In second place was the Naleraq party with 25%, followed by Inuit Ataqatigiit, the party of outgoing Prime Minister Mute Bourup Egede, with 21%, and Siumut with 14%.
