Turin, March 19 (LaPresse) – Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, the two NASA astronauts stranded aboard the International Space Station (ISS) since June 2024, have landed back on Earth, more than nine months after their arrival.
The two had originally arrived on a crewed test flight of Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. Due to technical issues, their stay, which was initially supposed to last just one week, was extended.
The Crew Dragon Freedom capsule, carrying four astronauts, including Williams and Wilmore, landed off the coast of Florida after a 17-hour descent.
