Turkey: trade union, 10 journalists arrested after protests in Istanbul

Turin, 24th Mar. (LaPresse) – Ten journalists are among those arrested following the protests that broke out in Istanbul over the arrest of the mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. This was reported by Cumhuriyet, which cited a statement from the Turkish journalists' union, Disk Basin-Is, according to which those arrested include Zeynep Kuray and Hayri Tunç, Ali Onur Tosun of Now, the photojournalist Bulent Kiliç, the Afp correspondent Yasin Akgul, the photojournalist for the Municipality of Istanbul Kurtulus Ari, Zisan Gur of the Sendika portal, the former correspondent of Cumhuriyet Gokhan Kam, the photojournalist Murat Kocabas and Baris Ince of BirGun.
