Washington (USA), March 30 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump made a clear commitment not to fire anyone after the embarrassing leak of a chat about government plans for an airstrike against the Houthi in Yemen. "I don’t fire people over fake news and witch hunts," Trump said in an interview with NBC News' Kristen Welker. He also expressed confidence in Mike Waltz, his National Security Advisor, and Pete Hegseth, his Pentagon chief. Waltz accidentally added Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor of The Atlantic magazine, to a Signal group chat where senior officials were discussing plans to attack the Houthi. When asked if there had been discussions about firing Waltz, Trump insisted: "I never heard about it. And no one makes that decision except me, and I’ve never heard about it."
