Turin, April 4 (LaPresse) – Israel has announced that it has killed the person responsible for the kidnapping of Shiri Bibas and her two young children, and that he was most likely involved in their murder. This was reported by the Times of Israel. Muhammad Hassan Muhammad Awad, a prominent member of the Mujahideen Brigades, a group active in the Gaza Strip, was killed today in an airstrike, according to the IDF and Shin Bet. Israeli authorities stated that Awad was among the men who invaded Kibbutz Nir Oz during the Hamas-led attack on October 7, and that he led the kidnapping of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas. According to the IDF, Awad was also “probably involved in their murder” during the early weeks of the war. The bodies were returned to Israel in February. Awad was also held responsible for the kidnapping of Gadi Haggai and Judith Weinstein, both of whom were killed during the attack on Nir Oz, along with several Thai citizens taken hostage from the kibbutz, according to the military.
