Turin, April 12 (LaPresse) – The indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Muscat, Oman, regarding the nuclear program, were held “in a constructive atmosphere based on mutual respect” and have concluded. This was stated by the Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement quoted by Al Jazeera. “Both parties agreed that talks will continue next week,” the statement added.
U.S. envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi “briefly spoke in the presence of the Omani Foreign Minister” at the end of the discussions, marking a direct interaction between the two countries, according to Iranian state television, commenting on the conclusion of the day's indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington on Iran’s nuclear program.
