Middle East, Hamas: "We are evaluating the ceasefire proposal, response will come soon"

Turin, April 15 (LaPresse) – Hamas has expressed its official position on the latest ceasefire proposal for Gaza. The organization stated that its leadership is “carefully examining, with a great sense of national responsibility, the proposal received from the mediators and will present its response as soon as possible.” This was reported by Al Jazeera. Hamas “reiterates its firm position that any future agreement must ensure a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal of occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, an authentic prisoner exchange agreement, the start of a serious reconstruction process for what was destroyed by the Israeli occupation, and the lifting of the unjust siege imposed on our people in the Gaza Strip.”
