Milan, May 5 (LaPresse) – U.S. President Donald Trump has declared his intention to instruct his administration to reopen and expand Alcatraz, the infamous former prison on a California island that has been closed for over 60 years. In a message posted Sunday evening on his Truth Social website, Trump wrote: “For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat criminals — the scum of society — who will never contribute anything but misery and suffering.” He then added: “That’s why today I’m ordering the Bureau of Prisons, along with the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security, to reopen a substantially expanded and rebuilt Alcatraz to house America’s most ruthless and violent criminals.”
